Hi, everyone! Monday morning and it’s 5:45. I just woke up! Don’t you just hate that?! This is also the second Monday of the month, which means Miss Edna and I have a new month’s free kit for you. The first two parts are the QP’s, followed on the next two Mondays with four more parts, two each Monday, of elements and papers for your own page assembly. This month’s kit is “A Rose is a Rose” and it is beautiful!
But, first, I have a little something to share. I needed to make a serrated edge on a piece of Washi tape and decided to make my own brush for it. It’s only one brush, but, it is reversible, with two edges – two sizes, small and bigger. I saved it for future use, so, I thought I would share it with you. Click on the preview to download.

To use, after you create a piece of tape of any kind by making a rectangle and filling with either color or a pattern, load this brush. Click on the ‘Eraser’ tool and select this brush. Via the Brush palette, change the angle to the brush to erase off one end, then, flip the brush 180° and erase the other end. There are two edges, but, you can make the brush size smaller or larger to get different results. Instructions are also in the file, along with three sample for you to use as you so desire.
While I am writing about brushes, when I peruse the web, I click on links. I have founds some real gems doing that. Blog Rolls, other folks’ blinkies, etc., I usually find lots of goodies. Yesterday, I came across a guy’s blog, axeraider. If you think the name hints of video games, it is, I think. From what it looks like, he is young and is a gamer and he makes brushes. Turns out, he had bundles of sets he has created for the gamer kind of art. Wait! LOL The brushes are cool and all, but, I am not really into that sort of design. However! He made a video on how to make brushes. It was awesome! He showed some great tips in the video! One he showed is how to make a brush with ‘glow’ to it. I want to share that link with you!
